Welcome to the Great American Pharma Experiment (Spoiler: We’re the Lab Rats)

Let’s cut the shit—pharmaceutical companies are not in the business of making you healthy. They’re in the business of keeping you just sick enough to keep buying their drugs. If you ever feel like you’re just a walking science experiment, congratulations, you’re catching on.

Big Pharma’s Cash Machine: Profits Over People

Pharmaceutical companies are some of the most profitable businesses on the planet. Pfizer alone raked in over $100 billion in 2022. That’s more than the GDP of some small countries. And you think they’re doing this for the good of humanity? Fuck no. Their entire business model relies on one thing: lifelong customers.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Get you on one drug – Maybe it’s for high blood pressure, depression, or reflux.

  2. Side effects kick in – Now you’ve got brain fog, joint pain, or a new digestive issue.

  3. New prescription to "fix" the side effect – But guess what? That one comes with more side effects.

  4. Repeat until your medicine cabinet looks like a goddamn pharmacy aisle.

It’s a cycle designed to keep you dependent, not to actually solve the problem.

We’re Not Built for Synthetic Shit

Humans evolved in nature. Our bodies understand plants, minerals, movement, and real food. What we didn’t evolve to handle? A constant stream of synthetic chemicals designed in a lab. And yet, we’re being pumped full of them at record rates.

  • Antibiotics? Necessary sometimes, but they destroy gut bacteria and leave you vulnerable to other issues.

  • SSRIs? Can help, but also come with withdrawal so intense that getting off them feels like detoxing from hard drugs.

  • Statins? Lower cholesterol, sure, but also weaken muscles and can fuck up your energy levels.

The point? Western medicine has its place (antibiotics, trauma care, emergency interventions), but it should be the last resort—not the first.

The Gender Bias in Drug Research (Because Women’s Health is an Afterthought)

Did you know that most drug trials are conducted on men? Women’s hormones fluctuate too much, which makes them "inconvenient" test subjects. This means a ton of medications were never properly tested for how they affect women.

  • Heart disease symptoms? Women experience them differently than men, but most research is based on male data.

  • Pain medications? Women process them differently, but guess who’s the default test subject? Men.

  • Mental health treatments? Women are more likely to be prescribed SSRIs, yet studies on their long-term effects for female patients are seriously lacking.

Basically, if you’re a woman taking a pharmaceutical drug, you’re kind of in an ongoing clinical trial—without your consent.

So, What the Hell Do We Do About It?

  1. Question Everything – Just because a doctor prescribes it doesn’t mean it’s necessary. Do your own research, get second opinions, and ask about non-drug alternatives.

  2. Fix the Root Cause First – Instead of masking symptoms with meds, focus on nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, and natural remedies first.

  3. Use Western Medicine Wisely – Trauma? ER visit? Infection? Yes, take the damn antibiotics. But if you’re being prescribed a daily pill for something that lifestyle changes can fix—think twice.

  4. Advocate for Women’s Health – If you’re a woman (or give a shit about women), push for more inclusive medical research. Demand better care. The system sure as hell won’t fix itself.

The Takeaway

You are not a lab rat. You are not meant to be dependent on a cocktail of pharmaceuticals for life. The system is rigged to keep you sick, keep you paying, and keep you in the dark. So, take your health into your own hands, educate yourself, and don’t fall for the trap.

Because at the end of the day, Big Pharma doesn’t give a fuck about your health—they care about their bottom line.
